I've started using Google Reader's "Notes" feature - basically a queue of pages to be read later - and I really like it. I'd love to be able to read my Notes pages in NewsRob!
Implemented in NewsRob Pro 3.6
You may want to vote on this one too?
awesome, thank you! i just bought the premium version. i'm excited about notes support!
Ryan, the next version of NewsRob will have a free and a premium version (http://groups.google.com/group/newsrob/browse_thread/thread/3f0fc5e022506ced).
The premium version will also sync notes, shared items and starred items.
i don't know that you'll need them, though. i'd just like to be able to read either "my shared items" or "my notes" (both of which appear under "Your stuff" in the reader sidebar") or both in newsrob.
There are Google Reader docs on that? Do you have a url handy?
(I am on vacation at the moment and will have a closer look at this stuff afterward.)
yup, i did see that. i've re-read the google reader docs, and i think i understand the difference between standalone notes, shared items, and share-with-note a little better now.
what i really want isn't the ability to share or note items *from* newsrob, as described in that suggestion. i actually want newsrob to sync and download my own shared or noted items, just like it currently syncs and downloads my subscriptions and my friends' shared items.
Hey Ryan, have you seen this suggestion: http://newsrob.uservoice.com/pages/35624-general/suggestions/418018-create-share-in-google-reader-intent?ref=title
In order to get up with the votes I would suggest to just keep one of those two.
out of curiosity, i tried a couple workarounds to get the same functionality:
- sharing these items with myself so that i'd see them in "shared items." it looks like google reader doesn't let me "follow" my own shared items, though, so this didn't work.
- starring these items so that i'd see them in "starred items." that didn't work either, though, maybe for the same reason.
